Finger Defender is our top of the range product

The danger of finger trapping accidents has been recognized in a British Standard.

To prevent accidents BS7036 Part 4: item 7.1 recommends "the use of a finger defender that either fills the finger trap or minimises the gap so as not to create a finger trap".

Finger Defender is a high quality, resilient, non-flammable blind that opens and closes with the action of the door. This prevents fingers from entering the cavity between the edge of the door and door frame.

The blind automatically retracts into a robust , protective aluminium housing when not in use.

This can be an advantage in certain environments over concertina style protectors, which may suffer damage as a result of permanent exposure. It has concealed screw fixings and comes complete with end caps for the neatest finish.
